Wedding Dress from Olivia Bottega on Etsy

Hello!

I'm currently in the process of finding my wedding dress. I plan to go shopping in the next few weeks and figure out what I actually like wearing. However, while creating my Pinterest board and developing inspiration, I noticed a few dresses linked to Etsy. I then began researching wedding dresses on Etsy and fell in love with this one.

This shop (Olivia Bottega) ships from Russia and accepts returns if your order is not custom made. I would more than likely order a regular size and then have alterations done by my local seamstress. The shop has many positive reviews, but I do worry about the process.

Has anyone ordered their wedding dress from this shop or any other shop on Etsy?

    I've never ordered from Etsy but I just looked at the dress and it is BEAUTIFUL Smiley heart

    I, personally, I have not gotten my dress from an Etsy shop. However, there are tons of brides here on WW that have. It seems like experiences differ greatly- from absolutely horrible to amazing! Looking at the reviews on the dress you love... they all seem to be great, and even include customer photographs of the dresses they have received! The owner of the shop in general seems to have great reviews as well. If you are in love with the dress, I would order it in a standard size (not custom) so you are able to return it if need be. I would also look into the cost of shipping the dress back if it doesn’t work out for you- shipping a dress that large and heavy overseas may cost quite a bit!

    I ordered my dress and veil from Olivia Bottega! Like you, I was nervous, but I’m so happy I took the plunge. My dress is exactly as pictured and very well-made (I ordered the Joslin dress). Anastasia, the shop owner, responds quickly and has excellent customer service, so I would definitely reach out to her and ask any questions you might have. With Covid, shipping was a bit delayed due to interruptions in her lace supply, so I would order sooner rather than later if you decide to go with her. I chose to do custom sizing, and it fit great! I have it at an alterations shop just to add a bustle and tweak a couple things so it fits perfectly.

    I’ve seen a few photos of brides that Have ordered from Olivia Bottega, and while her work is beautiful, I personally just feel like you really need to try on the dress first. I was in the same boat when I first started looking for dresses. I absolutely loved Olivia bottega dresses, but once I started trying on dresses at the shops I’m so glad I didn’t order online because dresses in person look SOOOO MUCH DIFFERENT than they do in photos.
