Wedding Dessert Choices

Cassandra, on July 13, 2020 at 12:15 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 10

Is there anyone else who wants to sway from the traditional wedding deserts?? I am sooo into the idea of fancy looking but easy to make cupcakes and muffins!! (im more about muffins) Here's a few ideas from my list....

snickerdoodle cupcakes

lemon raspberry cupcakes with lemon cream cheese frosting

mini chai muffins with vanilla bean glaze

pumpkin cupcakes

rose champagne cupcakes

pumpkin zucchini muffins

cookies and cream cupcakes

banana cupcakes with peanut butter frosting

lemon blueberry cupcakes

strawberry cupcakes

blueberry blackberry cupcakes with blueberry cream cheese frosting

gingerbread cupcakes with salted carmel buttercream frosting

I could keep listing more and more!!!! But then I also debate on instead of cupcakes and muffins, do mini pies and breads being it is autumn. Gahhhhhh all the possibilities!!! How does one possibly choose?!

Those all sound really good but if you’re gonna go with any I would avoid the chai and gingerbread ones cause those are flavors that aren’t like everyone’s cup of tea. Even pumpkin sometimes isn’t something everyone really gravitates towards

I’m having cake and a dessert buffet. We are having mini fruit pies, strawberry shortcake in mason jars, and mini cupcakes. The wedding cake is a confetti cake.

Do bite size desserts so that people can sample everything and not waste half of a dessert because they want to try something else. (Trust me, it’ll happen.)

We aren’t doing a cake and are opting for a dessert table instead. We’re trying to have a balance of things: salty, sweet, fruity, chocolate

You could always have a bakery do a variety of their best selling pastries!

Sounds awesome. We are doing mini cheesecakes (cherry and s'mores) and a brownie sundae bar!

Is it possible to make a few of all?

My idea is to add a large macaron pyramide

We did a dessert bar with several different options. Our cake baker made everything for us and we had a large variety of non-traditional wedding desserts. Not your typical cupcakes.

YUM! I'd have a hard time choosing, too. Best to ask maybe 3 or 4 people to get an idea of what different people's tastes are and choose your top few. I just booked my dessert table last week. We're going with 1 large pie for us to cut into (not really cake people), mini pies in a variety of flavors, and mini cookies in a variety of flavors. We will have a deluxe hot chocolate bar so I didn't want to have an overkill of desserts since there will be lots of sugar at the hot chocolate bar.
