We’re doing a small backyard wedding of 45-50 guests! Has anyone assigned their bridal party yet or is it too early?!

Ok so I'm freaking out because we have to put $4,000 down on our venue to book it officially and I'm SO worried someone will take our date. How late is too late to get our money in do you think? We're paying for everything ourselves.
