Wedding Dance psa

Honestly for overachiever first dancers I highly recommend finding a practice wedding dress at a Goodwill or similar secondhand shop if able.

We have been attending ballroom classes for our fist dance in December and last week we found a dress very similar in cut and shape to the one picked for the actual wedding for about $60 and just used it for after lesson practice today. The learning curve for dancing with a huge skirt is pretty steep and building up that endurance to dance in a heavy and boned bodice without gasping for breath will probably be really handy in a few months 🤣.

Pretty great so far. We started back in September last year and have come a LONG way since then.

    Excellent idea!

In theatre, we have what we call "rehearsal skirts" - which are older costume pieces or skirts out of our closet that we use during rehearsal if our costume will include a large skirt. So, I guess this is a "rehearsal dress".

And, yes, all that extra fabric totally changes how you move! (And corseted dresses even more so.)

That's a great tip!! Much more useful to practice in something similar to what you'll wear on the big day! 💃
