Wedding Colors

Which color palette do you all think is best for bridesmaid dresses? I’m torn between two different colors. I think we’ll do a mix of both palettes (green and terracotta/pinkish hues) but I can’t decide which should be the primary. We’re getting married in August 2022 outdoors in a forest/waterfall setting next to a river. Here are screenshots of colors I’ve loved. I know the pinks/oranges are more fall like but I like the idea of the mismatched colors for bridesmaid dresses. I’m also planning to ask friends who have a range of hair and skintones, so I like the idea of the women selecting the colors that work best for them. Wedding Colors 1

Btw, we would probably cut out the darker wine color in the warm hue - just want the lighter/brighter tones.

They all need to try them on to see what is flattering.

So first I would pick 3 focus colors for the WHOLE wedding. For example: my sister is getting married to a marine in dress blues so she chose a dusty blue, green and white. Now she obviously doesn't want WHITE to be the bridesmaids so she looked at the dusty blue and green. Green for her was too far away from the marine uniform so then she chose the dusty blue color for her bridesmaids. If you are wanting different color dresses then I'd still choose three main ones and then look up Color Palettes including those three colors...try to find palettes of at least 7 colors so you can have a good idea of different dress colors and then find shops that have those colors and go from there.

I like the second palette of colors a lot. It definitely focuses more on the warm tones and if you had to pick a primary color from that palette it would probably be terracotta or rust. The greens are a great accent and could definitely be included as an option for bridesmaid dress choice without looking out of place with the rest.

The Sedona color from the first set appears to be very close to the terracotta color from the second.

I love the second palette. It’s very similar to what my daughter is going for. This was her inspiration. Wedding Colors 4

Thank you! That’s a good idea! I think we want to go mostly with a sage green, terracotta, and I’m not sure what else lol

You’re welcome. My daughter swamped a few colors out and added some others but this was her general direction. Good luck.
