This may sound weird but do the event managers keep count with how many guest that’s at the wedding? I may have a few scraggliers show up but I’m not for sure.

It won't be that difficult to figure out. Most venues will only put out enough chairs and place settings for the count of guests that you give them. If 'stragglers' show up, they may not have a chair to sit in.

They will find out if you invite more guests than you gave in your headcount and they will charge you or shut down your event.

If your table count is like 10 to a table for instance, and there's 10 tables but there's like no seats left and you've got five extra guests for instance, that's easy to see aha.

Hey there! As the pps mentioned, it will be clear if there are more guests attending than the amount you confirmed with your venue. The venue will be set up for your confirmed guest number so you anyone extra in attendance will most likely be left without a chair and a meal.

Why do you think that there will be extra guests attending? Have you asked everyone to send their RSVP back by a specified date? As your RSVP date nears, perhaps you could reach out to guests who have not replied yet to remind them to send their RSVP back to you.
