Wedding album vs wedding book?

I'm trying to decide on a package with our photographer- between one package that does not include a wedding album with 5 hours (I could add an hour since I'll need 6) and one that is for 6 hours and includes a wedding album that's 800 more. I'm trying to decide on a package with our photographer- between one package that does not include a wedding album with 5 hours (I could add an hour since I'll need 6) and one that is for 6 hours and includes a wedding album that's 800 more. Both come with full rights to the images. I looked into costs for wedding albums and came across wedding picture books. Has anyone done this or having any thoughts about it? I think it could be kind of cool.

I agree that for a wedding album, you should consider a better quality book than what Shutterfly or MixBook offers.

For example, the premium grade photo books offered by sites like BlackRiverImaging, Zookbinders, and NationsPhotoLab are a HUGE notch above. The quality of construction is impeccable, the pages are thick and lay flat in the middle, and the image is so much more crisp and vivid than Shutterfly. They also offer flush mount albums.

But there is no reason to break the bank on your photographer's expensive album package.

A graphic designer can create your layouts and order the very same album for half the cost. We order albums from the same sources photographers do without the mark up. For example, a professionally designed 30 page 12 by 12 premium photobook would be only around $300. Only a few $ more than Shutterfly, and you''ll will be so much happier with the quality. The same size leather flush mount album would be only $600. Susan Gallagher

I recommend to choose flicbook.com to personalize your photo books with latest designs and templates. Flicbook offers very low cost subscription with high quality pages.
