Wedding #1 (of 2) IS ON! Church Ceremony/Backyard Reception for immediate family.
Backstory: Due to covid... we postponed our huge 300+ Oct. 2020 wedding to Oct. 2021. The decision was painful at the time, but huge relief ever since. All of our vendors were onboard with the new date and new venue.
Back in April.... when we called our Catholic Church to reschedule, the priest asked us to take some time to consider this decision, focusing on our relationship. He let us know that he could marry us with 300 people present, or no one else present.
We are not particularly religious at all. Basically, doing the Church wedding for our parents. But strangely, after a few months the universe/spirit energy/God led us to the decision that we REALLY want to go forward with the marriage in Oct.!

I’ve been scrolling thru every post /article I can find on what makes a backyard elopement celebration special. We’ve decided to go “all out” within reason LOL – tent with string lights, mini dance floor, whiskey barrel to display champagne. Wedding Cake! Photographer! Taking a 3 day mini-moon! I just bought a white dress off the rack $28 (50% off at Macy’s). Literally so excited! And.... I get to keep looking forward to next year’s I DO RE-DO.
