I spent the last three days building and perfecting our wedding website for our 12/31/21 wedding. I love it. My support group loved it. And today WeddingWire tells me that my website is “going away” in 13 days. GOING WHERE? Why wasn’t this put out before I wasted three days. The alternate templates are laughable and do not produce the same style that I currently have. There’s so much stress in planning weddings and I thought WeddingWire was supposed to help not cause it!! Can’t even describe how many couples I told to use WeddingWire when there’s so many other apps. I trusted Weddingwire with my wedding and I clearly chose wrong.

    Unfortunately I’ve seen this soo many times on WW. I love WW for these forums but i use The Knot for my wedding website. Love The Knot’s planning checklist- keeps me on track.

    Many brides say they have countless glitches with WW as a website to share with guests but that the forums are great. There are many recommendations to use Withjoy.com or wix.com instead which are much more user-friendly without time limits.

    This seems...excessive. I understand your disappointment, but your wedding is 9 months away, you still have plenty of time to find a new platform. Honestly, they’re probably doing you a favor anyway. WW sucks for wedding websites.

    Is it an old template maybe? I just check it out (it's beautiful btw!) and it looks different than the other ones they offer.

    Omg! I’m sorry to see this. That really sucks. Maybe message support/admin to see if they can extend or something? I am sure they are going to get a lot of requests for that....


    Is it just the custom domain websites, the one people pay for? Or like ALL websites?

Please reach out to help@weddingwire.com and a team member can help you copy over your information or walk you through the steps to create a new website. Your old wedding website URL will redirect to your new website once it's removed on March 16.

    I didn’t get engaged until March 2019. So I find this very hard to believe. The templates offered now have nothing that is reproducible of what we have now. I hope the switch is worth the bad word of mouth and loss of users. I have uninstalled the app and only knew of this notification because of email. I’ll be unsubscribing shortly.

    Ugh. That is frutrating, and even if it is a small thing in the grand scheme of things.. your feelings about it are VALID! I hope you find a template you love just as much Smiley heart

    WeddingWire's website builder sucks. I'm using Weebly and integrated it with WW's RSVP function for convenience. You can take a look at me and my fiancée's site below. If you need help with customization, I'd be happy to help. I built it myself and I only paid for the domain name.
