Weather Forecasts

Courtney, on June 8, 2020 at 10:12 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 6
My wedding is next Saturday so of course I'm checking weather forecasts! My phone says there is a 50% chance of rain which I think is powered by the weather channel, but accuweather says 25%. I don't understand why they are different! I know it will change before next weekend, but that doesnt stop me from wanting to check it!

Our weather turned out to be 10 degrees colder than forecasted, even as of the night before 😐

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! Do you have a rain plan?

Ours is the same. We have a rain plan, but I really want it to be outside. That was one of the few things my partner was very specific about wanting - an outdoor ceremony - so I want it to work out since that was one of like 3 specific things! I hope it works out for you!

Don’t stress about it. All week before my wedding it said high chance of rain. Even the night before it said it was going to rain... I think like 70%. It ended up being a gorgeous, sunny day. It rained at night (long after our wedding ended).

So there’s a good chance it won’t even rain during your wedding. But if it does... you still have no control over it. There’s nothing you can do to change the weather, so don’t waste your energy stressing and getting preemptively upset about it. Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst... if it rains, do you have a nice clear umbrella you can take photos under? etc. try to just make peace with the fact that it might rain.

If it’s going to rain, it’s going to rain, and there is literally nothing you can do to stop it. All you can do is remind yourself that you’re going to make the best of it!
