Wearing Ring While Working Out

ARudell, on February 24, 2017 at 9:32 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 119

I find myself constantly removing my engagement ring for gym classes and going on runs... What do you ladies do? Do you have a different ring that you wear when working out? Or do you just go without?

I pretty much only do zumba but I dont take it off. As long as it fits you should be fine for cardio. Weightlifting I would take it off though.

I also take mine off in the gym and when I go for runs. I have been considering getting a Qalo ring to wear for workouts!

ETA: I hate taking it off though because every time I work out my fingers swell and it's always a little tough to get back on.

I'll leave it on for cardio, but lately I've been lifting so I leave it at home to be safe. My finger feels naked but not worth the risk

I take mine off at home and put it away before heading to the gym..but my ring is also rose gold with a high cathedral setting..so its not conducive to working out. Softer metals like rose gold (and even gold in general) are very malleable with their temperature is increased. If I forget to take it off, I almost always have on a small necklace and will put my ring on my necklace during my workout.

I take it off at the gym since I mostly weight lift. I usually leave it on when running outside.

I take mine off every time I work out. Sometimes I'll wear an Enso ring instead.

I take mine off usually while cooking and sleeping. I leave it on otherwise.

I take mine off constantly. And especially at the gym- just holding a barbell will wreck the inside of the band and wear it down. Not to mention you run the risk of the ring getting caught and degloving your finger. Don't google that. Just trust me when I say it's really bad.

I have no problem going ring-less. So I just take it off.

I take it off for the gym- and the second I walk in the door.

I've also been considering getting a Qalo ring because I'm very paranoid about something happening to my ring.

My ring is off more than it's on. I can't wear it to work (work 3 days a week, 12 hour shifts) and sometimes I do overtime. Then I'm at the gym the other 4 days and half the time I forget to put it back on. Mostly wear it if I'm going out of the house for non work/gym activities.

I got a non stone wedding band specifically so I don't have to take it on and off with the gym and work.

I don't wear my ring working out. My hand swells between two whole sizes so it's not worth it.

I take my ring off at the door. I don't feel less engaged.

I just got DH a Qalo ring. He loves it, especially since he loves to be out doors a lot.

If I go to the gym after work, I prefer to keep it on because I don't want to use it.

I take it off for any form of exercise. I am worried about my fingers swelling or damaging it somehow. I just leave it at home if I'm going to the gym from home or lock it in my car if I change when I get there.

I always take mine off to exercise. Its just not worth the risk of injury or damaging the ring. I know it bothers some people to take their rings off but it doesn't make me feel less engaged.

I'm heading to the gym right now with my ring firmly in place where it should be. I go to work immediately after the gym and I don't feel comfortable leaving it in a locker while I work out so it's not really a choice for me.

Before I changed jobs and I was able to go home after the gym I wore a QALO band to the gym, only for lifting though, not if I was just doing cardio.

I never take mine off. It'll have to be pried out of my cold dead hands. (It's sized and insured I have no reason to take it off)

If I am going to the gym from home I don't wear it, but sometimes I go to the gym at lunch, at work, for cardio. If I do that I do wear it because I feel it is riskier to take it off than to wear it. (I literally only ever let myself take my ring off at home, on my ring holder since I trust it on my finger more than not). Running and weight lifting I never wear it. Also not in the shower.
