We are preparing for a wedding in an open courtyard, and we want our dog to be nearby, but not to run outside the premises. How can we organize this without constant supervision?

Unless you hire someone or have someone at the wedding watch the dog I don't think there's any other way. I would suggest hiring someone over having someone at the wedding do it because then that distracts them from being able to actually enjoy your wedding.
