We lost our officiant

Doctor Who wedding twins!

I’m glad you were able to find a back up! Our venue actually suggested an officiant for us when we came up with scratch. Our officiant has done some weird weddings (he did a Viking wedding for his friends), so we knew it’d be a good fit. He offered to costume it up for us but we don’t want to show our hand until the big reveal. FFIL built us a TARDIS and we’re going to arrive a few minutes “late” to our ceremony, flash the light, play the sound effect and drop a drape. Boom, step out of the TARDIS. Crowd goes wild.

We got him a journal that looks like River’s journal for him to do the ceremony from, and I think we’re going to incorporate a few of the final pre-regeneration wisdoms from a few Doctors into the ceremony. Mainly Capaldi’s because “Laugh hard, run fast, be kind” makes me tear up EVERY time.

Aw I’m so sorry that happened but glad you got another officiant. Where did you order your programs from? A lot of places are sympathetic and may give you a credit to reprint for free if you explain the situation

What are your plans for the TARDIS after the wedding? We’re thinking of asking FFIL to modify it to a bookcase to put in our sitting room, which I want to claim as my reading/writing room.

I can't wait to see these weddings! We're incorporating our fandoms into our wedding, too. Doctor Who will be well represented.

That is just so precious!!! Sorry to hear about your officiant. I actually get jealous when another officiant I know gets to do nerdy weddings. I'm the nerd! Oh well, I still have the Princess Bride wedding scene (with voice) and the one where I announced them married by "The Power of Greyskull".
