We finally have a colour theme! But it's causing a problem.

We finally settled in a colour theme last night, which is great except I can't see it working with my flowers! I want white calla lilies, but the colour theme is peacock feathers!

We agreed to peacock feathers because that way we can both have our favourite colours in our day. But I have my heart set on white calla lilies, as they go beautifully with my dress. There are coloured options, but they all look wrong to me. My original plan was to have coloured ribbon on the handle, but I'm not sure if that will look good. I have wondered about adding in some feathers to my bouquet, but again I'm unsure of the overall aesthetic.

Any suggestions on how I could do it?

I'm having fake flowers that I'm compiling myself.

Hey! My cousin did peacock feathers too actually because she loves that bright yet deep blue color. I wouldn't worry about everything matching perfectly, especially with such a bold theme. I suggest taking a look at purple flowers you like (there's no so many naturally blue flowers but maybe hydrangeas) and adding them with the lilies. I think you'll be able to make a really beautiful bouquet and other flower arrangements that are on theme, but not *matching*. I assume this can work with your faux flowers as well, and they'd probably have very vibrant colors. We finally have a colour theme! But it's causing a problem. 1

I'm not a fan of purple as it happens, so I'm looking at peacock ribbons to wrap around the stems. If that doesn't work out, I will probably go for 2 colours from the feathers and wrap those around instead. I could even put a feather onto the stems as a charm, or tuck one into the ribbon itself.

I'm finding various options on etsy so far, so I think that may become the next problem, as I'm very indecisive. If need be, I can call in FH to make the executive decision for me, right? Smiley xd

Here is a photo I found. Not sure if you would like this, but it ties both together. If I am being honest, I think it is an odd combination. Is it the colors your fiance likes or the peacock look? If it is just the colors, I would use those colors rather than the peacock look.

It could definitely have been put together better, but it might work. That ribbon is too bright for a start, IMO.

Thank you so much for this image though. I will save it and use it for inspiration. I think I have a challenge ahead of me with this, but I don't mind that once I get stuck into it. Smiley laugh

Good luck! It sounds rather difficult to try the two together.
