Super October 2020

We finally got the okay

Fmv, on June 4, 2020 at 7:29 PM Posted in Planning 0 11
We FINALLY got an email update from our venue. They are allowing wedding this fall! We are located in Wisconsin. Our October wedding is officially ON!
The location holds 400 people, but will only allow 186. We only plan to invite 100 or less.
Also having restrictions on amount of guests per table. They will also have shields up at the buffet and will be serving. This email comes as a HUGE relief. We were brain storming other options incase our venue cancelled. But it seems like it will work outHow is everyones wedding planning going? Is your wedding still on?

We’re getting married in October in Pennsylvania and our venue said they expect everything to be okay and they don’t plan on limiting things. We’re doing another walk through this Saturday so will find out any other details then. But it seems like we won’t have any issues! Our guest list is also under 80.

Glad to hear it is working out. Do you know if they are enforcing masks or social distancing? If social distancing is enforced, will they allow dancing?

They didnt mention any of that unfortunately. I would assume they will allow dancing because they are supplying the dj and we are paying them for the service. As for masks, we plan on purchasing washable masks and having them available for guests if they would like to wear them

I would definitely check with them about the dancing if that is important to you. I saw a bride posted earlier that she can have her wedding, but they can't have dancing due to the restrictions.

That's great news!! Our plans might be changing. We haven't been able to contact our current venue which would have been an intimate ceremony and then dinner afterward. Our next payment is due next month but I don't want to continue paying a venue with no communication just to find out that we will have to cancel or they have officially closed down, ya know.

I found another venue that is still open and in immediate communication with that we could actually have a larger wedding like originally planned. I really wanna do that one instead but FH wants to wait to make sure we could pay it off on time with no issues.

UPDATE: I contacted our venue and they are not eliminating or reducing dancing! They also said social distancing will have to be inforced by the guests themselves

    That's SO exciting!

What area in WI if you don't mind sharing? We are getting married 10/3/2020 in Milwaukee, but our venue has been awful about replying to our emails.

I am very curious about the dancing aspect for our venue! Milwaukee is operating at 25% capacity as of today, so I know that would limit us to 50 out of the 77 total guests we have on our list unless things open up more. Fingers crossed that we are at 40% capacity or more to allow for all of our guests to come if they would like. We do anticipate a handful not wanting to come due to covid.

We’re on for our Wisconsin wedding as well. I feel like I’m scrambling to get things done now, but I’m happy to be able to have it this year. Our venue holds 300 but we are estimating 175. We are working out some other safety measures with our caterer. There will be dancing! We’ll just have a larger dance floor than originally planned. Wishing everyone the very best while planning!! 💕
