FH got a custom tux and was very concerned/ had Tix regret about the price tag.

But I spend around the same on my dress (under 2k) and I told him go for it! Why should I have all the fun?Anyone else splurge a little on both outfits?

We’ll be doing the same! He’s getting a custom suit, I told him as long as it didn’t cost more than my dress ($1900) that I didn’t care 🤷‍♀️

Yes. His was $900 and mine was $1900. It is way more than either of us would normally spend

Ours were about the same price too! His suit came out to $180 and my dress was $200

My FH's made-to-measure three piece suit will cost more than my dress, but his suit will be brand new and my dress is pre-owned (if I had purchased it new, it would have been about 3-4x the cost of his suit). His belt and shoes were $200, plus the cost of his tie, shirt, pocket square, etc which will probably be at least another $100 or so. I'm going pretty inexpensive with shoes, hair piece, and a veil, so once all is said and done I expect his look (minus hair, makeup, jewelry, and flowers) to cost about double mine.

But all of the things he is purchasing to wear he will be able to wear again. Much of my look is going to be a one-and-done purchase, so I think it makes a lot more sense that he invests in his look and I remain frugal (but happy) with mine.
