Ways to Stay Excited After Deciding to Postpone

Jessica, on May 29, 2020 at 1:07 PM Posted in Community Conversations 1 3
Hi all, like many of you, my fiancé and I have decided to postpone our wedding due to the virus. Our original date was 7/11/20 and we were expecting about 300 people. For many reasons, we decided to postpone to 7/10/21. Since deciding to postpone is such a painful, draining and stressful experience, I thought it might be fun to share ideas for ways to make the lead up to our new dates more fun.

For example, we are thinking about maybe planning a camping trip with the wedding party for the weekend of our original date, conditions willing. Anyone have other ideas to make the lead up to the new date more fun?

Date twins! We are still going to get married this year in civil and have the celebration same date next year even though it’s a Sunday. The camping sounds like a good idea. Or renting a AirBnB together

Great minds think alike! We had to pospone ours as well, was supposed to be June 20th and now will be March 13th 2021. We decided to get a few spots to go camping with some of our Bridesmaids/Groomsmen as long as its permitted just as a needed get away on our original date! We think itll be fun!
