I'm looking for any opinions or personal experiences with keeping your maiden name and adding DH Last Name. I know I don't want to hyphenate, but I'd like to keep both names.

I was thinking of either having two middle names or two last names, but wanted to get some opinions! My LastName and FH LastName are both a mouth full (7 letters 8 letters).

I ALWAYS planned to drop my last name and take on a new last name, but when I went to fill out the application for our marriage license yesterday I froze and realized how important and meaningful my name is to me. My sister was 12 when I was born and gave me my middle name last minute in the hospital, so I'm too attached to drop it either.

I feel like two middle names will be easier, but just wanted to get some opinions!

Go to the courthouse website and see what the state laws are about having 2middle names. I know Virginia allows it but not sure if other states do!

I'm not dropping anything, just adding on. I'll go by maiden professionally and new socially.
As women are becoming more and more independent and professional and getting married later, women do all kinds of things when they marry. Figure out what you want and do that!

I am my dad's only child and he was the only boy. I really want to keep my maiden name...but I don't want to have 2 middle names. My options are hyphenating or just keeping my maiden and I keep going back and forth!
