Just Said Yes November 2018

Way less people coming than expected

Sarah, on October 11, 2018 at 8:21 PM Posted in Planning 1 12
Hey all! We invited 118 people and currently have 60 rsvps with the deadline on Tuesday! We were planning for around 80-90 based on other websites ratios and percentages stuff.. idk I’m just a little surprised and wondering if this has happened to anyone? Also I didn’t prepare myself for some surprising “no’s” and it’s hard to not get all sad about it 😩

Well Tuesday is a lot of time so maybe you will get a bunch of yeses (lol) by then. Also most people take forever to RSVP or don’t even take the time to RSVP. You may have to follow up with those people after the deadline. Good luck! And I hope some more people RSVP YES!

Is your wedding local for most of the guests?
That's about the size of my wedding list (116) and we are planning for 80 but it's traveling for 99% of our guests and I'm honestly worried it might be like 40 people.
Hoping more people get you their RSVPs soon!

We have a lower RSVP rate than we expected. We invited 121 and we have 74 coming. None of FH's family from out of town is coming. None. I'm a little disappointed. He claims not to be but I think he's just trying to not get upset about it.

I invited close to 200 (blame my mom). I estimated 80 (out of town/sorta destination wedding) and told all vendors this number. On my RSVP by date I had under 50....now around a week or TWO after RSVP date I'm basically at 80 smh. I literally got an RSVP today and my due date was by the end of Sept.

We invited a little over 100 people and a couple of days after the deadline, we only had 60 people RSVP. We had to call or message over 40 people to let us know if they are attending the wedding or not. Legit, I just got a RSVP yesterday even though we called the couple several times. The wedding is next week! It's frustrating. Right now we have about 84-85 people attending. We also got some surprising "no's" as well.

Give it until Wednesday I’m sure you will have more by then and if not that’s okay! You only want to celebrate with the people who want to celebrate with you!

We got 15 RSVPs in the two days after our RSVP due date, so all hope is not lost. : )

We invited 85 and got 75 "yes responses". I would have been ok with less. LOL

We invited 151 and got 30 “no” RSVPs back. Some people we knew would be a no, some people we were not expecting, and some people RSVPd “yes” then told us weeks later they actually weren’t coming. RSVPs are one of the worst parts of planning, in my opinion.
We got a ton of them in the mail/online on the day of our deadline, so don’t worry just yet. And then once the deadline has passed, you’ll need to reach out to anyone who you haven’t heard from because they may have mailed the card back but it got lost or something.
We were bummed about how many people declined, especially because other people we know who got married in the last year had way less declines so it sucks. But I’m glad we came in under our original estimate of 125, because I ended up saving like $600 off our final bill from the original cost. Just know that the people who are coming love you and can’t wait to celebrate!
