Waterfall braid with curls

This is what I imagine you wanted.

Could she do somethings like this, just with curls? The pieces are pulled through a normal three strand braid so it's more secure.

I don't have a picture, but I have done tons of waterfall braids on my sisters and some of my friends. They hold just fine, but if you or her start getting worried about it you can easily put bobby pins behind the braid. I also suggest spraying it with a little water to dampen it a bit ESPECIALLY if you have thick hair. Hairspray can help after you braid it, and braiding tightly and tying it down well at the could also help. The biggest thing I found if I want to do any curl at all, is to make sure that you curl it after you braid it. If you already have natural curls then straighten it, braid it, then curl it.

Hey, Lindsey! What kind of texture is your hair? That can definitely make a difference in the type of braid that will (or won't) hold!

Now that I've seen your pictures, I don't think there's any reason a waterfall braid wouldn't hold up.

Thanks! I decided not to do another trial, so I'm just going to be firmer when she does it on the actual day and hope for the best We will find out on 9/22
