Walking down the isle with no music?

Jessilyn, on September 17, 2020 at 10:20 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 12
Do you think it would be awkward? We’re having a small backyard wedding, the ceremony location is a good ways down from the house so setting up any kind of really good speaker and then transferring it to the reception area afterwords would be a little difficult. I’d rather walk down the isle to no music than music from a crappy little bluetooth speaker lol. Thoughts?

To me, it would be awkward silence. Do you have one that could play a guitar? Otherwise personally, I’d use a Bluetooth with instrumental music.

Yeah I think it would be awkward. I see what you mean but better to have something. Otherwise I would avoid an entrance. Do you have a family member or friend attending that plays guitar or something that would be willing to for that day?

What about a Bluetooth speaker for the ceremony? You can get cheap ones at TJ Maxx that actually work really well

We used a Bluetooth speaker that was really light weight and actually had good sound. We got it on amazon for under $50 and it came with a microphone too; it worked really well, had a good battery life, and was easy to just pick up and take with us back to the ceremony site. To me, silence would be awkward, but it’s totally up to you.

Yes, this would be awkward. Your guests would just be staring at you in awkward silence. It would also be a little awkward for your guests to sit in silence while they wait for the ceremony to start.

This, along with flowers have been the biggest problem with me and dh. My venue is in Hawaii, and you know the prices are crazy over there. When we looked at the price list we were shocked but we e do have an opinion to bring a bluetooth speaker. But, since it’s a beach wedding, I am afraid that the small bluetooth won’t be enough. The waves are loud. I am seriously thinking to surprise dh with a quartet to play during our ceremony. I can’t imagine a wedding without music or flowers. Either with, or no wedding for me. Yup.

Just get a decent Bluetooth speaker. It doesn't have to be super expensive. The main issue with Bluetooth speakers usually isn't the actual speaker quality, but the fact that the phone/device it's connected to is too far away so they don't have a good connection. If the device if near the speaker, you shouldn't have too much of a problem.

Silence would be awkward and confusing for your guests. Plus technology is pretty high quality for not alot of money. If you still don't want it, hire a musician.

I think it would be weird only because people are not used to it. Music from that speaker would probably be better than nothing
