Walking down the aisle?

Dakota, on September 5, 2019 at 1:39 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 4

So I had originally planned for both my mom and dad to walk me down the aisle. My grandmother walked my mom down the aisle when she got married, and I thought it would be special for her to do the same for me.

Where I am torn is that recently I have been wanting my dad and future father-in-law to walk me. He has a daughter who didn't ask him, and he really is a second dad to me. I thought it would be a cool joining of families thing.

So i guess me dilemma is I have no clue if i should have my mom and dad, future father-in-law and dad, or just my dad. Has anyone done any of these or have any advice?

That's so nice that you want to honor your FFIL in that way. Are your parents on board with this? Maybe they can walk you part way. then your FFIl can walk you to your FH?

Hi there.. I am having my mom and dad walk me down, but is there something that you feel is right in your heart to do? Maybe you could share a dance with your FIL and ask your grandmother to be your flower girl so you could also include them? Just a few ideas Smiley smile

If I was you, I would stick to having your parents walk you. It's super sweet that you want to include your FFIL, but I don't think the "giving the bride away" role is a good one for him. Maybe you could share a special dance with him at the reception?

Hiw long is your aisle? You could have them pass you off if it's long.
