Walking down the aisle with step dad and dad

So I thought hard on this and i would love for my step dad to join my dad and I when walking down the aisle. He’s been in my life for 10 years and I appreciate him. I tried speaking to my dad about this and there wasn’t much of a conversation to have. Obviously he didn’t want to hear my reasoning or what I had to say.

How do i catered towards my dads feeling to help him understand and it being okay in the end?

At this point ain’t my dad has decided he won’t be showing up. We do have 15 months to fix it.

I’m doing the same thing. However, I have not had that discussion with my dad yet. The way I see it is, my dad should be happy someone else loves and has also been there for me. Your wedding day is about you and hopefully he understands that. Good luck! ❤️

Thanks girl, good luck to you! My step dads always been kind and always thinks of my dads feelings, he a lot hates confrontation and drama. My dad on the other dad always has hated him for no reason except he’s with my mom, he always wants people to chase him so it’s his way. It’s unfortunate since I won’t be giving in.

I was going to do the same but then depending on the width of the aisle, I wouldn't want to look/feel cramped. Since I still want both of them to be very much included, I made the decision to have my former/ex step dad walk me (since he's been there for me growing up and still in my life) and have the father/daughter dance with my biological dad. It was really hard for me to talk to him about it but he completely understood. I really hope your dad comes around and everything works out in the end.

My biological dad and step dad will walk me in. At first I had my dad walking me in and my step dad walk my mom in but I realized that both men have been there for me. So I decided to have both of them walk me in. Both men was fine with my decision. I hope everything works out for you and remember this is your day.
