Walking down the Aisle to David Bowie

FutureMrsH2018, on July 7, 2016 at 11:34 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6

I have a long engagement, but the one thing I've anyways had planned was my music. I am a big David Bowie fan, (favorite song is Ziggy Stardust) I found a great string recording of that song, and I would like to walk down the aisle to it. I am a huge crybaby, so if I use something traditional I'm probably going to be sobbing. My thought is that if I'm too busy thinking Hell Yeah, David Bowie! I will be less inclined to cry. Any thoughts on this? I know I've got a looonngg engagement, but music is one of the most important elements to me.

I dig it. We are planning to do some indie/alternative songs in the ceremony along with string quartet covers.

We are doing something similar with the string arrangement, but using The Cure. I love that it's a beautiful arrangement, but unconventional. (And great choice using Bowie, btw!)

I almost walked down the aisle to call me maybe Smiley smile

I think a bride's walk down the aisle is very personal and her music should reflect what she wants.

IMO your engagement isn't that long, sometimes the extra time is a good thing Smiley smile

Sounds awesome. I like the idea of walking down to something that you like and is a reflection of you.

Do it! I'm doing an instrumental version of As The World Falls Down from Labyrinth. I also thought about Space Oddity. Lol.
