Walking down the aisle song!

Amanda, on October 19, 2017 at 6:21 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 16

Hey all so I have a question I found the perfect song ever to walk down the aisle too. it's a long song I think 5 minutes or more. I was wondering has anyone ever had everyone including the bride walk down to the same song?

Why not just stop the song? I kind of like how the bride gets her own music to walk down to.. I guess I like how it's so dramatic? Haha I dunno.. But you do it if that's what you like!

We're just playing a part of the song I'm walking down to. My musician is going to cut it off at a good stopping point when I get to the altar. Maybe you should consider doing the same?

Usually the bride gets her own song when walking down and the change in song signals that the bride is coming so everyone should stand up to watch. IMO this is one of things that you can just do whatever you want with as it doesn't really affect your guests at all. If you want it to be the same song for everyone that's fine. If you want it just for you, you can just cut it down to your favorite part of the song so that's playing while you walk. If you know how long the aisle is going to be you should be able to guesstimate about how long you need to section of song to be.

Unless there is some dramatic climax to the song where it would separate you from the others I would just fade the song out

My FH is very talented on the guitar, so he's writing a song for the entire wedding party to walk down the aisle to including myself. The tempo changes a little bit when it's my turn to walk down the aisle, but it's essentially the same song.

I think it’s fine for everyone to walk to the same song but you can also have the song fade and stop you don’t need to wait for the song to finish lol

Our bridal party walked out to the saxophone version of I can't help falling in love with you by Elvis. I walked to saxophone version of Your still the one. Our musicians just found a nice ending point and had a pause in between songs. It worked great for us!

I did. My friend sang an opera aria that was half as long as your song. But we had a very small bridal party and a short aisle.

I'm sure it's done, but I like that the bride gets her own song. But if you really like the song and it's long enough do your thing! I personally would want to stand out with my own song. Also, just for thought, the music always stops before the bride's entrance, at least at all the weddings I've been to.

I'm only having 2 ring bearers, a flower girl and two maids of honor. We will all be walking down the same song. They'll start walking once the song starts and by the time I start walking you'll be able to hear the main chorus of the song.
