Walking down the aisle song...

Jessica, on March 14, 2017 at 8:24 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 19

I will be having a professional violist for my walk down the aisle. Toss up between two songs, A Thousand Years by Christina Perri or Can't help falling in love by Elvis Presley. Help me decide and tell me what you plan or already walked to. Btw....I love the song A thousand years....but FH absolutely loves Can't help falling in love. I would probably cry to the first song and he would probably cry to his. FH has no clue of my song choices so either way it would be a surprise.

I don't have a bridal party, so it's just me and I'll be walking to an instrumental version of Tangled Up in You by Staind, which is our song, of sorts. But I love both of your choices and don't think you can go wrong with either.

I think your bridal party should walk to A Thousand Years and you should walk to Can't help falling in love.

I am also having a violinist and I am walking down the aisle to a thousand years, I am having thinking out loud playing before my entrance, so you do something like that.

Omg!!! @Heather L. Me toooo!! I'd love to see him cry lol!! As for my bridal party we have something else in mind that the groom and I agreed upon, that's why they can't walk out to either song.

I vote can't help falling in love with you! He will love it and it will be a great little surprise for him. I'm using 1000 years for my BP, like everyone else here Smiley smile

Both work great. One bride I played for chose the anthem of her fiance's favorite soccer team ("You Will Never Walk Alone") because he when they played it was the only time she'd ever seen him cry. It worked!

I have a violinist too. I'm partial to Thousand years myself I'd go with whatever makes you feel the most warm and fuzzy

For a soloist I prefer Can't Help Falling in Love. If you had a trio or quartet I would prefer A Thousand Years.

If the song makes your FH cry, PLAY IT!!! I WISH I could make my FH cry just once!! Once he starts crying, you'll start crying! So it's a win win
