Walking down the aisle dilemma

Mikayla, on March 10, 2020 at 2:44 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 3
So my grandpa is going to walk me down the aisle because he's been more of a father in my life than anyone else, HOWEVER, the last 3 years my step dad has been a huge part of my life. I would like to incorporate him too, if possible. But I'm not sure if I want him to walk me down the aisle as well. I may have them both do it but my question is... If I don't have him walk me too then is there another way I can incorporate him in a special way? He really does mean a lot to me and has done a lot for me so I do want to incorporate him, I just don't know how. Any creative ways?

NOTE: we are NOT having a reception, so no dancing

You could do a first look with your step dad, I did one with my dad and I'm really glad that I did.

How about the first dance? Kind of split the responsibility between your grandpa and step dad. I also like the idea of the first look picture

I agree with the others above that a first look with him could be really special. If you're wanting to do something during the actual ceremony, you could ask him to do a reading. Or if you do a unity candle or some other kind of unity ceremony, he and your mom could be involved in representing your side during that.
