Walking down aisle alone?

Shannon, on September 14, 2017 at 9:30 PM

Is anyone opting to walk down aisle alone? I kind of want too. I think I want my mom and dad to walk down together and just have attention on me as I walk down the aisle. Thoughts?

I wish I had someone to walk me down the aisle, but my dad and brothers aren't coming. So I'll be going alone. My fiance and I have talked about walking in together, but I don't know if that will happen.

Sak2sah my dad won't care what I do regardless. And Celia there's nothing for me to "re-think" as that is the exact reason I am thinking of doing it... i want the focus on me I don't want anyone walking next to me I think I want my parents to walk down together and have the opportunity to join everyone else in admiring me on my special day.. well there that goes I believe my mind has been made up Smiley smile

I think walking alone is fabulous. I would be walking alone except I have a son that I gave up for adoption 20 years ago and he came back into my life at the end of last year. We have become so close in such a short period of time it's like we've known each other our whole lives. So I have asked him to walk me down the aisle. Every time I think about it my heart fills with joy! Otherwise this bride would be walking solo

I am walking on my own, and I have always wanted to. My relationship with my dad is ehhh and I'm lining the aisle with the following quote, which makes waking by myself feel appropriately symbolic:

I'm walking with my kids. I'm not close with my mom and I have never met my dad.

I walked down the aisle alone and would choose to do so again and again. I say go for it.

This is exactly what I wanted but my parents are throwing an absolute fit over it so I might just give into what they want.
It would be different if they wanted it for a special reason but they have directly said they are worried it will "look like i have issues with them" to the guests......
