Walking Bride Down the Aisle

Jacqueline, on February 4, 2020 at 8:56 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 5
Soooooo.... I had asked my brother as well as my son to walk me down the aisle as my Father passed many years ago. Both said yes and now I’m getting excuses which is “ok”. Those that want to be there.... will be there. I’m thinking of asking my best friends husband to walk me down the aisle. We don’t want to extend our bridal party more than it already is So if I had him as my escort???? Thoughts

If you guys are really close i think that would be a great idea! I would only ask someone who is really special and close to you. You don't want to ask someone just to ask someone. Smiley smile

I agree with PP from Jordan.. You also don’t even have to have someone walk you if you are comfortable with walking alone . One of my close friends walked alone (by choice) and it was very beautiful and still meaningful

I would just walk myself in this situation, rather than ask someone secondhand. What happens if the original two change their minds again? It can still be meaningful if you give yourself away.

I think walking yourself down the aisle would be fine as well. BUT if you guys are close and you think it would be special then do it.

I think it’s a great idea if you two are close. My father passed when I was young and I plan on walking down the aisle all by myself.
