So my dad just recently passed away and sadly he never got to walk any of his 4 daughters down the aisle. I'm already married but my husband and I eloped and didn't tell anyone until afterwards. So now we're planning this huge wedding for our second wedding anniversary. I have only one brother and I was hoping to ask him to walk me down the aisle. I want to do something nice for him when I ask. Maybe get him a little gift or something? Anyone have any ideas?

On top of getting him a gift, you could also take your brother out to lunch and ask him

Take him out to dinner and hand him a sweet card that says stuff about y'all's relationship/life and ends with asking him to walk you down the aisle.

Two things: 1) Just ask your brother, I am sure he will be honored. 2) Do people know you are married? Is it public knowledge?

Oh thank goodness!!! A surprising number of people lie about it and then wonder why people get upset at being lied, too!!! My dad had passed when I married the first time and I just asked my brother if he would escort me down the aisle and he said yes. No biggie!

I’m sorry to hear about your dad. Having your brother walk you down will be super special too. There are lots of cute ideas online. There are special cards, cuff links that ask if he will walk you down the aisle there are cute socks you could give him, etc. take him to lunch and give him a cute little gift. Good luck.
