Walk down the Aisle Songs...

Caitlyn, on October 2, 2011 at 7:40 PM Posted in Planning 0 21

Any one have ideas on what to have? I like Marry Me - Train and God Gave me you - Blake Shelton but Blake's song is a bit too fast and Train's song was played at my brother's wedding so I don't want to be a copy cat. I don't think I really want the traditional here comes the bride, too traditional. I want something fun. I also liked Only Hope-Mandy Moore but fiance said it's too dark lol Any one have ideas?

I'm having the same issue. I was thinking maybe "push" by Sarah McLaughlin or "I will" by the Beatles... I definitely want something a bit different.

Have you considered just using an instrumental version of these songs?

I was going to used "giving myself" by Jennifer Hudson because I was going to walk down alone but then FH and I decided to walk down the aisle together so I don't want to use that one anymore.

Right now, it's between: When I found you by Bebe Winans, The one He kept for me by Maurette Brown (which has been use in almost every wedding I attended last year, I'm really leaning toward Not using that one), and my other choice as of now is "when you kiss me" by Shania Twain, I just can't get that song out of my head.

I'm leaning more toward using the Shania song to be played during our first kiss so I might end up using the song by Bebe

I am walking to "Grow Old With You" by Adam Sandler (Wedding Singer). I found a beautiful, slower, instrumental version on youtube and our ceremony musicians are going to do it. I wanted something different, and it is actually really pretty.

Check out Colbie Callait's "I Do" It's a little beat upbeat... but I think it hits the spot and would make a great entrance song. Just don't try to walk to the beat... unless you want to dance your way down the aisle.

I am walking down the aisle to So This Is Love from Cinderella. It's kind of short but my walk down the aisle won't be long.

The Colbie Song is too upbeat, I'm thinking it's going to be the God Gave me you by Dave Barnes, the Instrumental version. Just cut the song so the beginning of here comes the bride leads into the song. It's outdoors in my mother's gardens so wiring will be fun lol

I had non-traditional procession music. It helped create the vintage feel at my wedding. I have the music video posted here: http://genevieveswedding.blogspot.com/2010/08/procession.html

We did Train's Marry Me. =)

Before we decided on that(or came across that) we were going to use Savage Garden's I Knew I Loved You. We still used it for the ceremony, but not for "the walk down the aisle."
