I am using Canon in D. It's probably one of the more common choices, but it's exactly what I've envisioned!

I’m having a pianist during the ceremony and have been listening to dozens of piano versions of popular, traditional, and even some off-the-beaten path songs to walk down to.
So far I like Jack Johnson’s Better Together the best.

I walked down the aisle to "Gabriel's Oboe" by Ennio Morricone & Ya-ya Ma. Not only did I want something different that not isn't completely overdone, but this was a song my mom had always dreamed of being played at my wedding. It's really beautiful.

You can do a search on Google or Pinterest for processional songs (listen to samples on YouTube) and see what you love. In a church, you will be required to use what they pre-approve.

I'm thinking about the instrumental as well for my walk down the aisle. But I'm also very Italian and traditionally Ave Maria is played for weddings in the family. So I'm in between that and the instrumental for maybe somewhere over the rainbow. I might have my bridal party walk down the aisle to that.

I like Bittersweet Symphony for a string quartet.

We hired a wonderful acoustic guitarist who will play Here, There, and Everywhere by The Beatles. He's doing all of our ceremony music from guest seating to us heading back up the aisle!

It may be slightly morbid, but that's the song I want played at my funeral.

The song I'm walking down the aisle to however is A Love Unreal by Black Label Society, because that is the song FH sent me in reply to my proposal. It has an instrumental intro, but I'm not sure if it's long enough. If not, I'll look at creating a longer piece somehow.
