Waiting for Rsvps is painful

Monica, on February 19, 2020 at 4:32 PM Posted in Planning 0 11
I dont know why its so exciting to get RSVPs in the mail. Its like a little gift lol. Trying to be patient and Not check the mail every day (our mailbox leads straight to our garage), but sheesh the wait is killing me and I only sent the invites out barely 2 weeks ago. All the guests still have about less than a month to rsvp, so it will take a while. Im just anxious because my guestlist went from 150 to over 200, which means more money, which scares me so I am anxious to know whos really coming & whos not.

Also I keep checking to see how many ppl are using our website. So far only 1 person has rsvp via website. It was my sister in law (who is also a bridesmaid) lol she only did it because she knew it would make me happy lol. The number of website visits are going up but No one is using it to rsvp lol not even the young ppl! Lol just thought I would complain for a second lol.

I think it’s normal to be excited for things you’re waiting for such as when we come home to packages we bought aha

I get it! We only sent out about 20 invites. Most was to family and therefore most of them just called to rsvp. I cannot tell you how much more excited I was when someone actually sent me our rsvp back via the good old United States Postal Service.

I totally get it! Keep in mind though we got a lot more of our declines closer to the due date (like people who know they’re coming will rsvp right away, but it’s lower priority for people who aren’t planning to come) so don’t freak out about pricing if it seems like you’re getting all Yes’s because your No’s may be more concentrated at the end

I know what you mean. Were getting married the same day and our deadline is March 4th. We didnt use a website and only got 3 back. But I'm not stressing it or following up with anyone. I'm hoping they are just waiting until last minute.

We have a ring doorbell and the mailman either comes right before I wake up or while I'm in the shower. It takes a ton of self discipline to not run out to our mailbox in my towel.

Another reason why For not receiving the rsvps: I just talked to my closest cousin who lives across the US “Oh I got your card last week but I haven’t opened it yet” 😩🤦🏽‍♀️😂.
