waist trainer (not totally wr)

So while working out and eating right trying to drop weight not only for the big day, but for myself in general I also purchased a waist trainer. I have read positives and negatives, and after seeing it all over my insta I decided to give it a try.

I can't say it exactly "trains" my waist, but I can say it works amazing as a shape wear product... I just wanted to share my opinion on this product in case anyone else was curious!

It is definitely great shapewear. but unless its steel boned it wont "train" and even then it has to build up to 18-20 hours per day. and until its been years, it'll lose the effect once taken off. but i do like the slimming & the extreme curve!!!!

    what kind did you get?

Really?! I don't think this one had metal boning it was an Anne Chery one. Which do you recommend?

@AndixLyn is right... I tried joining a group in California to start waist training. They set up your meal plans, give you a schedule to follow (when to keep the corset on/When to take it off, etc.) and they gave you a starter corset. VERY expensive, but my doctor wouldn't approve me because I have 2 extra organs shoved in me from a double organ transplant. Love the look of that curve true waist training gives you!

I've been looking at Va Bien waist trainer/corset for under my dress. Do you have a picture of yours? You said it is comfortable? I hate spanx, so I wanted to go for something different.

@AlexisM08 I'm curious did you doctor say anything about it pushing your organs. When I researched waist trainers I read an article saying it doesn't help with weight loss at all just pushes in your digestive track and organs. (So I joined the Gym, I got enough problems.)

I wear corsets all the time. ( now they call them waist trainers. lol ) must have boning and i prefer the ones with laces so i can tighten . they also restrict your eating since you can hardly breathe and dont think about food..

@Summyya yes that's exactly what he said. Because my new kidney is at my lower left hip and the pancreas is now at my lower right hip, everything will get squished. Even with changing your diet to an extremely high fiber diet, I would risk too many digestive problems because my stuff isn't hooked up how normal people's are. He explained to me that when you're constantly squeezing in one area, the organs have to slowly shift elsewhere in order to make up for it.

Put colored water in a balloon and squeeze the middle of it. The water goes up and it goes down. I still wear corsets here and there, but not to waist train.

Typically anything you can buy that is just called a waist trainer, due to the celebrity influx will just be elastic or plastic "boning" at best, glorified spanx. typically they only "assist in weight loss" by encouraging you to sweat which comes back when you hydrate. the true weight loss will come from consistent long term wearing which will limit your ability to eat. some get dizzy and lightheaded which is why programs will guide you into finally reaching 20 hours a day, most dedicated corset wearers will sleep in theirs, my gf is a world famous tattoo artists and she wears it even while tattooing and bent over for hours, much stress and major props to her for it. i love them and plan to go back to wear them after childbirth. currently i am not cleared to wear it due to a heart condition until my doctor determines i'm taking better care of my body. he says he can appreciate the novelty in it, but he only cares about me not passing out daily.

photo is with and without corset "damage" and i use the quotations because pregnancy does more damage on organs than corset training does, but both squish your guts. its just "weird" and "taboo" to the general population.

@amanda mine is a bright blue so I don't think it would work but I"m sure her line has something. I'll have to try one that ties @terry! And @andixlyn I'll take that damage!
