Vows/Gift for stepsons

I will become a stepmom to two wonderful boys (12 and 16) when we get married. I plan to write "vows" for them, and want to give them some sort of symbolic gift, but can't think of anything... they wouldn't wear any jewelry. Any suggestions??? Thanks

I have a future step kid 17 and am getting them 2 tickets to a play and a gift card to a restaurant. They love theater and will most likely take their boyfriend, which is sweet since they don't get to go on many dates together. I'm a big fan of experiences rather than things. They will always have those memories.
I also have a suggestion about the vows. Maybe don't do those during the ceremony. Write them a sweet note instead. Or give a speech during the rehearsal dinner when its a smaller crowd and mostly family. Your sons are teenagers and you wouldn't want to do anything to embarrass them.
