Vows

Taran, on August 3, 2020 at 12:58 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 9

So we decided to write our own vows for the wedding day and I'm super excited and basically have mine written, the only problem is that I just realized that I have no idea where I'm going to put them. My dress doesn't have pockets nor does my maid of honor's. I don't want to pin them to my bouquet and MOH will already have the rings pinned to hers. Any suggestions on where I should put them? With the anticipated nerves I don't trust myself to memorize them

Would your officiant being willing to hold them and discreetly pass them over when you are ready?

I agree with PP! Perhaps your officiant could have them with him and hand it to you

We wrote our own vows then we sent them to our officiant to include in the book he had our wedding script written in. This way neither of us would have to memorize our vows, worry about who was carrying them, or forget them.

I hadn't even thought of that! I'm sure he would because he's been my pastor since I was 14. FH also suggested having one of my parents hold them for me

My fiance and I bought vow books to write our vows in, and we're going to have our officiant hold onto them until we need them. Otherwise, you could have your fiance put them both sets of vows in his pocket until you need them?

Put them on a card and give to your officiant to hand you to read when it's time.

Write them in vow books and let your officiant hold them.

Ask your officiant to hold them and hand them to you at the appropriate time. That's what we did.
