Vows on mic

Erin, on July 4, 2018 at 6:43 AM Posted in Planning 0 4
My planner is telling me we can use the lapel pin that the officiant wears as our mic to project the vows, saying it is less important for everyone to hear them as they are for us not them. Thoughts??

Nah, I’m a planner and haven’t seen this work well. People come to hear everything and get mad when they cant hear.

I agree with The Nuptials 👆🏽👆🏽. Although it's most important that you hear each others, your guest are there to hear everything. If you go by your planners logic then your guest don't need to be there at all because none of it is for them it's all for the 2 of you. Guest are there to watch. I honestly would probably be annoyed if I couldn't hear.

Your planner is wrong. It is very important for your guests to hear everything. My church had a lapel mic for both the pastor and my DH. If your venue doesn't offer a mic to the groom then check with your DJ if they have one (if you're using a DJ). Most do.

I would want our guest to be able to hear our vows being exchanged.
