Vow renewal

Kanoe, on March 23, 2020 at 10:01 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 2
Hi everyone! So my husband got married in December of 2019 but it was just a thing with his parents and I. We didn’t have time to put together an actual ceremony because he’s in the military. We’re planning to have an actual ceremony in December of this year so all our family can be there to celebrate. But we’re calling it a vow renewal. He wants to do the whole bridesmaids and groomsmen thing but I’m not sure how the whole ceremony thing works if we’re just renewing our vows. Any advice would be great! Thank you!

The ceremony can work however you'd like it to work. You can have bridesmaids and groomsmen if you want, but if you'd prefer to keep it informal you don't need to. Since you're already married you don't need a marriage license, but everything else can be just like a wedding if you want it to be but there are no requirements!

Hi Kanoe! It's totally up to you whether you want to have a bridal party or not. If you can't imagine having your ceremony without a few friends by your side, go ahead! If you're just as happy standing up there with just your husband and your officiant, then skip the bridal party. There's no rule about this. Just do what makes you happy! Smiley smile
