Vow renewal registry?

Meaghan, on August 20, 2017 at 10:10 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 22

Hi Ladies!! I am so excited I found y'all. Hunny and I have been married for 10 years but have been through so much it's like we have been married for 40. So we started planning our vow renewal as out wedding day was a bit of a mess ( best man drama). Three of my friends have asked where I am going to register. Do you do that for vow renewals? I didn't think so but thought I would get opinions from a expert forum. Thanks y'all. Smiley smile

No. If people want to get you gifts, they will find something....

Don't register, you've been married for 10 years, it seems very gift grabby.

    Nope

And personally I wouldn't bring a gift to a vow renewal unless it was like a small hostess gift (bottle of wine, candle) or a card

No, just tell them you're not registering.

If they decide to get you a gift anyway, that's nice.

I understand that your three friends are excited for you, but this isn't a wedding -- it's a renewal. No registry, no showers, no bachelor/ette parties -- no pre-wedding festivities. The renewal itself is enough.

I agree on the not registering stance your taking.

Congrats on your 10 year mark and your vow renewal!
