If you are having this as a sort of wedding that you didn't have, wear whatever you want!! I don't think you should avoid anything you want to wear on your special day.

I hope I don't sound disrespectful but I feel that with the courthouse wedding did you really have the wedding experience that you wanted? I feel like you should have your dream dress. There are no do's and don't in regards to a tire. Just like a bride having a full wedding may do a non-traditional Bridal style dress.

Girl, go for it! Wear whatever you want, it's your celebration! There is nothing that says you can't dress how you want.... anyone that doesn't support that decision doesn't deserve to be there. I am planning on renewing my vows for my 10th anniversary and I will absolutely be wearing a gown!
