vow renewal 10th anniversary

erica, on December 1, 2017 at 10:38 PM Posted in Planning 0 4

Hello, so im looking for feedback on a 10th anniversary vow renewal. My first wedding was nothing of what we expected and we're thinking of adding some extra flavor to our vow renewal. Such as bridemaids and groomens. My plan is to have a reception, casual, have our 2 couples that are the closest to us be pur bridemaids and groomens follow by our best friends maid of honor and her husband give the speech to our wedding renewal since its not an official wedding and theres no need for a priest or such. I also wanted a cute idea to ask them to continue helping/been there with us through this journey or idk something like that ??

We would like to include our kids since its 10 yrs later and we're a family now, so maybe have my boy and girl the youngest carry the rings we're exchanging and my oldest girl be a flower girl.

Other than that keep it simple but elegant and i wouldnt wear a wedding gown anymore maybe something more plain... Any ideas or thoughts are greatly appreciated Smiley smile

We eloped the first time and next year we are renewing our vows after 11 yrs in a big church ceremony, very traditional. We will have a bridal party, and Our 2 girls will be the flower girls. The reception will be more relaxed, it will be a Vegas theme with card tables, since that's were we eloped.

You could do a unity ceremony and include the kids. Maybe, a sand ceremony where you each have your own color.

I don't think what you wear matters to much, just whatever you feel comfortable in.

My DH and I renewed our vows this past October. It was amazing! We held it at our church it was very personalized for us and who we are now as a couple. Our kids were included by doing a sand ceremony. We had great a caterer, drinks, danced and celebrated 16 years married with our closest friends and family! Good luck in your planning

We are renewing our vows July, 14, 2018. I hired a wedding planner and we are doing the whole sha-bang. We were married at the courthouse 2008. Our two oldest sons were present. We are doing it at the church and our reception is at a different location. We have a wedding party. I am excited to finally have my dream, come true wedding. We are trying to recreate our journey. My oldest sons will walk me down the aisle. Our third son will be the ring bearer and the fourth one will carry the here comes the Bride sign. My father died last year so we are not doing that part of the traditional wedding. We will have reserved seating for our parents. We will announce them at the reception. I have my dress and my husband is making my alterations and second dress.

Good luck with your planning. As everyone tells me, do it the way you want to do it!!!!

Congrats to you. I too am planning my vow renewal for our 10 year anniversary. We have been together for almost 20 years. I attend a house church so my 1st wedding was small. My vow renewal and reception will be at the church I grew up going to. My dad still attends there as my mom passed away going on 6 years ago😥. I am not having a bridal party but I am having my original maid of honor who is my cousin and best friend for life. He is having his brother who he has not seen in over 20 years as his best man. Our 2 daughters who are now 16 and 19 are listed on our invitation as requesting the honor of your presence at the at the vow renewal of our parents as they celebrate there 10 year wedding anniversary. My dad who is 81 will walk me down the aisle. I to am excited about my dream wedding. I got married way back when as a teenager to the 1st hubby in my rebellious days but that was a joke. I divorced and Jehovah sent me my soul mate. Good Luck to you.
