Voicemail Guest Book

So I never liked the idea of the actual guest book. Out of all the weddings I have been to, maybe 10% of guests write something in it and it seems like I waste.
Lately I came across the idea of a voicemail guest book. You get a phone number and guests call and leave a recording for you. Then you have access ti all recordings online and you can compile them and save them in any order you prefer.
Has anyone done that? How did it go? Was it worth it? Thanks

    Thats a neat idea! I've never seen it done or even heard of it but that sounds like it could be nice!

    I have never heard of that before but it sounds like a good idea! being able to hear someone's voice is so different from reading it

    Do whatever works for you. I don’t like the traditional guestbook with the lined paper of 50 pages that only one gets used. Some people may love the idea and others won’t use it because they don’t even feel comfortable leaving messages on a regular phone. You can try it out and see.

    We're much more likely to sign a physical item than to call and leave a voicemail. Also, if you have older guests, they may be confused by the concept.

    I’m doing that too for our October wedding! I went to my friend’s wedding and she had it too- You might just need your coordinator or one of your bridesmaids to go around and remind people to do it.

    We thought about going this route and looked at this company called After The Tone, but it was crazy expensive so we've decided to go a different route. I like the idea though, and if you can find a way to do it that fits your budget, then go for it!

    Yea I know of that company too the one I’m going with is $50 which I thought was not terrible. If you want I’ll find the name - saved it somewhere
    Google voice could work same way but I don’t want to deal w setting it up etc. that I think is only $10
