Vistaprint envelopes

Alysia, on May 23, 2018 at 9:48 AM Posted in Planning 0 12

I just received my invitations from Vistaprint and I think they came out beautiful, but I feel like the envelopes are super thin. Thin enough that I can see the design on the back of the invitation clearly through the front. I'm worried that once they're filled with all of the inserts and the belly bands, they're going to burst in the mail. For those of you who ordered and mailed invitations through Vistaprint, did the envelopes hold up? Did you buy thicker envelopes? I don't know if I'm overthinking this, but I don't want my invitations to fail to reach their recipients.

They held up fine for our save the dates. I'm curious to see how they look when we send invites.

I brought cheap (self sticking) envelopes on amazon for this reason. I was worried they would tear

We used those envelopes for our Vistaprint invites and two inserts! Envelopes literally just end up in the garbage so I tried not to overthink it, there were no problems with delivery!

I bought thicker envelopes on amazon and shoved my invitations (with belly bands) inside of them. If you do buy envelopes, be aware that vista print's sizing is not as it is advertised. They are not standard sizes and are hard to fit in standard size envelopes.

I ordered envelopes in a coodinating color from Cards and pockets and used the ones that came with as "inner" envelopes. They will probably hold up in the mail, but I just didn't like being able to see through it.

I was able to see my invitation design through the Vista Print envelope but turned my invites over so that the design was facing “in”. Agreed- envelopes just end up in the trash anyway Smiley smile

Good to know! I don't want to waste money on envelopes if it's not necessary. Thanks!

I purchased additional envelopes from Amazon for my invitations. I wasn't crazy about the ones from Vistaprint either.
