Vision Board

I don’t have a vision board but I have a board on Pinterest, and I put pretty much everything that fits my wedding theme or inspired me on it. For example I’m a huge flower lover, we’re having a boho wedding so i found pictures of decorations that include lots of plants, pictures of how I want my hair. Things like that, so when I meet up with vendors I already have things in mind. I’ll attach some pictures as an example, I hope it helps

I don't think an actual board is necessary, you can do exactly that on pinterest and make virtual boards. I had a few- one for dresses, one for flowers, one for gold decor because that was my main color, and one for hair and makeup. I just put in search terms based on what I was thinking, and pinned the pictures that I liked. Have you used Pinterest before?

Vision boards are usually used to manifest things in your life. One goes through magazines, etc with an intention like "get healthy" or "meet the love of my life". Then you clip and paste things that "speak" to you. It's new age stuff.

I suspect your friend is talking about pinterest boards. Which are pretty awesome to help decide what appeals to you.

BTW - I did a vision board to meet my sweetheart.

Those pictures are really pretty! At first, I read it as "we are having a hobo wedding" and I was like huh? and then I saw the pictures scrolled back up and was like Ooooh that makes much more sense. Anyways, I just figured I'd thank you for the laugh!

A vision board is just like a pinterest board, but I found it easiest to put together using Microsoft paint. You basically just collage a bunch of wedding pictures you like until you begin to see your "vision" of your dream wedding. Include colors, styles, decorations you like, venues you like, dresses, rings, anything wedding!

Yes! I’m a designer so i do mine in Photoshop, but collage however you want. I started by putting all the pictures from Pinterest that went together with my theme, and as I’m making decisions I’m replacing them with actual photos of what we’re doing. It helps me make sure everything goes together. These were the two I put together when I first started planning—we’re going with the dark blue and gold
option.

Pinterest boards are great! But be careful of drowning in inspiration when it comes down to really planning. Be sure to make very specific pinterest boards not just one big "wedding" one. In the beginning to really see your entire vision, a big wedding board may be fine, but as you get deeper you will want to see all of the wedding cakes you liked in one place. all of the flowers on one board, and all of the dresses on another. Microsoft paint or photoshop if you have it work great to throw all of your pictures onto and swatch colors you like and more. I'm glad we were all able to help! Cant wait to see your vision board!
