Virtual

Another question about virtual. What is the best free platform to use? From what I’ve read zoom charges if it’s more than two people in a meeting I believe.

My vendor charges $2500 to do virtual for us, but they said they are not responsible for bad Wi-Fi connection. I’ve seen a live stream they did and it was cutting out so I’m definitely not going to spend that kind of money. As far as set up goes I have the set up I’m using, I just need to know what website or application is best.

I've heard good things about Lovecast (https://www.lovecastapp.com/). They have a free and paid version - I'm leaning towards using this since you'll get a copy of the recording with either option!

WOW BRIDE!!!! I just checked it out! This is EXACTLY what I was looking for! I even love the fact that it’s just one click for the guests and they don’t have to register or anything. Some of our older guests are sort of OK with technology, but this seems like this would definitely be a good solution for them seeing as how I just have to send them the link. Even the paid for package is only 100 bucks! Much better price than the 2500 that I was quoted through my cinematographer!

    THANK YOUUUU!

You're welcome! I saw someone else recommend this on a different virtual wedding forum and I've been looking into it ever since! I also love that no one has to download anything, or have a Facebook account, or really need to know anything about technology other than copy and pasting a URL or just clicking a URL.

I totally get that! When I found out about it before the wedding it felt the same way!
Also the cool thing is people can chat during your streaming and you can read the messages later! It’s awesome

We’re doing zoom... it’s free the 1st 40 min for 100 people... we’re paying just to have more time!

I used lovecast as well. It worked great. And they save recordings of the ceremony.

I have family overseas and will definitely be looking into lovecast now. Also, thanks for mentioning the wifi as a thing to check at the wedding venue! I am preparing to visit my first choice venue in 2 weeks and this is something I had forgotten to put on the list to check when we are there.

Yes bride absolutely on the Wi-Fi! My fiancé mentioned that because we have iPhones we could turn on our ‘personal hotspots’ to get Wi-Fi reception if the place doesn’t have good Wi-Fi or doesn’t have any Wi-Fi at all. But I don’t know how accurate this is....

I didn't even know about it until my wedding planner mentioned it. You can also get an upgraded version for $99 where you can have a virtual guest book and stuff
