Virtual Bridal Shower Gift Ideas

Eshell, on March 6, 2021 at 8:19 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 6
Hello.... I am contemplating telling my family I am fine with a virtual bridal shower due to Covid. I was curious for those who’ve hosted or had one how did you all receive gifts ? Yes gifts are NOT mandatory but I still want to know ..and I know my circle and we are all givers .. Kindly let me know your insight / advice

A shower is for gifts. If there are no gifts, there is no point having a shower. As a guest given the option to watch over livestream, I would be uncomfortable and decline the invite as unable to attend. You would still receive the gift, just not at the shower.

Okay my family we’ve had 5 events already on Zoom. Last Sunday was my uncle 60th. It’s what we do and it’s fun !

I haven't been to any Zoom bridal showers, but I've been to virtual baby showers an they had tons of gifts that they opened on video. I don't think getting gifts should be a worry at all! On the bridal shower invite, I don't see anything wrong with including your address so guests can ship gifts directly to you.

So not fully related, but we did Christmas via zoom. Those who are local did a "porch drop off" type or mailed to the recipients house. Then we all got on zoom at our time and opened gifts. It was fine for what it was, but we have weekly zoom get togethers.

Not sure if it would be a typical shower with games, or just like a family celebration.

They should be mailed to you, or dropped off at your door.

We just did a Baby Sprinkle (for baby # 2), and stuff had been mailed to them (or, in my case, being sewn by me, in my lap, while I apologized for it being late), over Zoom. We had a scavenger hunt and a quiz, and chats. They didn't get to opening gifts, but we were having fun just seeing friends.

I'd have the hosts encourage people to mail the gifts ahead of time, so that they are visible in your Zoom background.

I would imagine they’d be mailed to you!
