Vintage Style Bridal Portrait Locations in/around Houston?

Anonymous, on February 16, 2012 at 5:01 PM Posted in Planning 0 8

Hi ladies,

My dress is very "vintage glam" and I love that look, not oppesed to rustic either..I am just looking for maybe some hidden gem location ideas/places. I prefer not to have to pay lots of $ to use and not the typical Hermann Park/Rice University/Water Wall stuff. I loved hotel Zsa Zsa but they don't let you shoot there at all unless you have your wedding there. Any ideas? Thanks for creative input!

There's a place called Sugar Babies Cupcake Boutique. Don't know if it will work, but that's all I could think of now. I'm waiting on my photographer to get back with me for a Vintage local also for my Bridal shoot. My theme is Vintage Sparkle and a little Shabby Chic. I know you can do photos there, because my friend had her kids photos taken there.

What a fun idea! I love it, please keep your ideas flowing. I love Sugar Baby's (right by me) and it is adorable. I'm going to call them. I'll keep you posted on what they say..

Also, I posted on your "theme post" earlier. Looks like we have similar theme's and my wedding isn't for another 3 months and I'd love any neat ideas. Kepp 'em coming! I love sharing also! Thanks ~Andrea

Sugar baby's charges $40 per hour to shoot (not bad) but only problem is they only allow weekdays on Tues/Wed/Thurs from 9am-noon

Awwww....I think it's worth it. Maybe you can take half a day from work or something. I also want to have my bridal shower there as well.

I know this sounds absolutely crazy, but what about the sitting areas in Macy's by the different dressing rooms. They are all decorated differently and most of them are vintage decor. My photographer thinks out of the box....LOL! And so do I. Just pay attention to them next time you go in Macy's.

I will. My photogrpaher is amazing also, but I think he mainly shoots bridals outdoors and total "country" bride's. Which is great and my wedding will be sort of rustic theme, I just didn't really want that type of bridal cause I can do that there the day of ceremony. I'll check out Macy's also! I see a "half day" in my future!

Oh cute. What about Old Town Spring. Girl! There are so many cute little antique shops and the street is almost always empty. Your pics gave me the idea!!!!! I'm excited!!!
