Videography alternative

What? Either don't do it or photography but hopefully you're doing photography anyway...

We aren't having a videographer but our photographer takes pictures (of course) and some short videos here and there then all is set to music. They call it a fusion video.

You can set up a video message booth, with an iPad or video camera etc, where guests can leave you a message, advice, what have you.

Yeah I think what Melissa said is the closest you can get to an alternative- a photo video with music if you don't want to pay for videography. I'm doing videography for sure. My parents had a video of their wedding and I've watched it a million times. So magical

There's these advertisements on Facebook right now where your guests download an app take videos on their smartphones and then the company edits it all together. I'm totally not doing that but it was cheap.
