Looking for opinions here.
We are getting married in September so a little less than 6 months out for us. We have everything booked in terms of photographer, DJ, hair, flowers, etc. I initially had wanted a videographer but thought it would be too expensive (I was seeing quotes for $6,000+ at the time I looked). My parents and my fiance's parents are helping us with 90% of the venue cost but the rest of what we booked has been up to us in terms of payment.
I recently stumbled on a Videographer online while looking at pictures from my venue. They are $2500 which if my fiance and I split it wouldn't be too horrible to tack on but it is still a lot. We currently have a photobooth lined up which was $600 but we were thinking of cancelling that and putting the money towards a videographer instead. We only put the initial deposit on our DJ and the photobooth is bundled through him so we would be able to change that and remove the booth if we wanted to.
Now, I know most people say "how many times will you watch that". Probably only once a year, yes, but to me those memories seem like they would be so cool to show children, grandchildren, etc, and reminisce on.
My question is: Did you have a videographer at your wedding? Are you happy you did? If you didn't have one, do you wish you did? If you are planning your wedding- are you planning on hiring a videographer or just sticking with photographer?
Can't wait to hear everyone's feed back!
