Videographer Ceremony Only?

Paige, on May 24, 2016 at 12:27 PM Posted in Planning 0 4

Ugh so I tried to convince myself that I did not need a videographer, and we definitely do not have much room in the budget at all for this. Now that the date is approaching, I find myself watching tons of wedding highlight videos and thinking that I need one. One videographer offered to cover just the ceremony for us, and it would save a lot of money! Anyone else just have the ceremony covered? Thoughts on this? Thank you in advance for your advice Smiley smile I appreciate it!

I'd say it's better than nothing! I'm still contemplating myself...

What will they do with the footage? Make a ceremony highlight I don't think that's worth it really worth it. I love the details & getting ready footage on videos.

I am having my cousin who loves to do photography and take videos do the video of my ceremony. FH doesn't see why we actually need someone to video tape it but I would like to relive the ceremony over and over again. I will have the pictures of getting ready, the ceremony, and the reception done by a professional, but I believe that the video can be done by family as a keepsake. I think if you can afford it, go for it!

It would depend on how tight your budget is at this point. If your willing to sacrifice some other details to get the video I would go for it. Honestly the highlight video I am really looking forward too, so I would be willing to sacrifice in other areas, flower, extra decorations etc. Also if there is a any type of college or film school near you see if they have a film or photography department. There should be students looking to expand their portfolio and might do it for free or at a drastically reduced price from a professional.
